Como digo "é de família" em inglês?

Hi there,

Hoje o assunto é família.. "família, família, cachorro, gato, galinha..." :O)

"It's annoying when fat people say obesity "runs" in their family when clearly nothing runs in their family."

Vamos ver alguns exemplos:

Digestive problems can run in the family. [Problemas digestivos podem ser herdados.]
Intelligence seems to run in the family. [Inteligência parece ser de família]
My sisters and I have blue eyes. It runs in the family. [Minhas irmãs e eu temos olhos azuis.

Prefira dizer overweight, ok?

That's all for today.
See you next time,

  1. Nice post Ira!
I learned an expression to describe this kind of body type from ESL Podcast a while ago, and you could also say "be on the chunky side", I guess, less offensive hehe.
As for your post, I just knew the word "inheritance (noun)" or "inherit (verb)", so I've just learned a new one! Thanks.
