Um pouco do Present Perfect e a expressão You know the drill

Hi there!

Já a expressão to know the drill significa the correct or usual way of doing something ou  maneira costumeira ou correta de fazer alguma coisa. Então se você ouvir "You know the drill" entenda "Você sabe o que tem de ser feito."

Self-installing a camera is easy if you know the drill.
You know the drill - cut the grass, bag the clippings and leave them at the curb. [Você sabe o que fazer - corte a grama, ensaque as aparas e as deixe no meio-fio.]
You know the drill? Not really. Tell me again what to do. [Sabe o que fazer? Na verdade, não. Me diga de novo o que fazer.]

"I've been to the dentist several times so I know the drill."

Percebam a frase: I've been to................several times.

I've been to Curitiba several times. [Já estive em Curitiba muitas vezes.]

E vocês? Deixem seus exemplos.

That's all for today,
See you next time,
